David's Daily Devotion for April 20

April 20, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, April 20.

We continue today with our brief focus on the New Testament, in preparation for the unique Bible study “Walk Through the New Testament” at my church this Sunday. Over the next three days we’ll look at three favorite stories.

The majority of a child’s favorite Bible stories come from the Old Testament - Noah’s Ark, David & Goliath, Daniel in the Lion’s Den - just to name a few. But there are wonderful stories in the New Testament as well. Some of them, like today’s example, are parables.

David's Daily Devotion for April 19

April 19, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Tuesday, April 19.

This coming Sunday, at First Baptist Center, we’ll be “walking through the New Testament”. A guest teacher from the Walk Through the Bible organization will be with us for three sessions, giving us an engaging, interactive, entertaining overview of the New Testament. Should be fun.

This Friday and Saturday, 23 members of our church will read through the New Testament from Matthew to Revelation. You can view it on our Facebook Live site. Should be fun.

David’s Daily Devotion for April 18

April 18, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Monday, April 18.

I hope you had a wonderful, blessed, and encouraging Easter weekend. Here at First Baptist Church of Center, Texas, on Saturday, we welcomed our community to a “Party in the Park”.  Several hundred children and young families joined us for fun, food, and Easter eggs. Lots of smiles and laughter. It was encouraging.

David’s Daily Devotion for April 16

April 16, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Saturday, April 16.

We focus this morning on two very unlikely followers of Jesus. These two were members of the Jewish Sanhedrin - their Supreme Court. They were wealthy and powerful men. They had a lot to lose. And yet, as Jesus was taken down from the cross, they were there. As His disciples were nowhere to be found, Joseph of Arimethea and Nicodemus were there.

David’s Daily Devotion for April 14

April 14, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Thursday, April 14.

Final words are important. You want your final words to be memorable. You want your final words to outlive you. These final words have lived on -

"It is very beautiful over there." - Thomas Edison

"Swing low, sweet chariot." - Harriet Tubman

"All is well." - George Washington

"The comedy is ended." - Ludwig Beethoven
