June 14, 2018 - The Shelby County Commissioners' have contracted with Allegiance Mobile Health during the June 13, 2018 meeting for the Emergency Ambulance Service Exclusive Agreement which has been held by ACE EMS.
June 13, 2018 - Jheri-Lynn McSwain, Shelby County Extension Agent, was presented to the commissioners as the newest member of the Shelby County Historical Commission (SCHC) during the April 11, 2018 meeting of the Shelby County Commissioners' Court. Allison Harbison, Shelby County Judge, explained for the commissioners McSwain has been working with the SCHC and they asked for her to be appointed. Harbison asked Vickie Martin, SCHC member, for any additional input.
June 8, 2018 - A new member ribbon cutting was held Thursday, June 7, 2018 for Pup N Sudz, owned by Shanna Carlton. Community members as well as Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors were on hand to help celebrate the business.
June 6, 2018 - The 74th Anniversary of D-Day was recognized on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 by Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8904 and Auxiliary members.
May 30, 2018 - The Tenaha Police Department has announced the arrest of three individuals on May 18, 2018 stemming from a narcotics investigation which had connections to several related arrests in other counties.
May 21, 2018 - FM 139 was the scene of a fatal crash Saturday, May 19, 2018. Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers and Joaquin Volunteer firemen were all dispatched to the scene as well as ACE EMS.
May 15, 2018 - Long-time city Alderman and Mayor Pro-Tem of Tenaha, Natalie Harris, was recently appointed to the position of City Manager for the City of Tenaha on Monday, April 30, 2018 during a regularly scheduled meeting at 4pm.
At the onset of the meeting, several community members took the opportunity to speak about items on the agenda up for consideration by the council.
May 14, 2018 - Shelby County was the scene of a fatal crash early Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Patroon Community involving a Cleburne woman.
Firemen from the Shelbyville Volunteer Fire Department and Huxley Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene, where they assisted.
According to to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas DPS Trooper Brent Murray investigated a one-vehicle crash on County Road 2798 about 10 miles south of Center.
