May 31, 2016 - The steadfast hope of God's children, the hope of the return of the Lord to earth, that He will return for us. (Hebrews 6:17-20)
Our duty is to be ready when He comes for us during the Rapture and we will then be with Him, our Lord, during the Kingdom age as He reigns in His new temple in Jerusalem.
Without this steadfast hope there would be no reason to live, no reason to persevere through this cruel and wicked world. But we do have the assurance of His counsel, His oath that He will indeed return for us as He has promised.
May 24, 2016 - Seven churches, seven letters all in the book of Revelation, seven letters letting the seven churches of Asia Minor know how they stood with the Lord.
Today we look at the seventh church, the church at Laodicea. The people at the church at Laodicea had become comfortable and self righteous, feeling that they were maybe just a little better than everyone else, a little richer, and a little more righteous.
May 17, 2016 - The future, how shall you face it? In this wicked, twisted world that we must live in there is no much to fear, so much to run away from each day.
As Christians, though we are no longer of this world we must still live in this world and endure it's persecutions every day as we stand up for the gospel of Christ our Lord.
Let me show you in the scriptures what we have to look forward to, let's look to Isaiah Chapter 35 for our answers to this question.
May 10, 2016 - Can we ever have complete trust in anything of this earth?
The Prophet, Micah tells us in his book; "Do not trust in a friend, Do not put your confidence in a companion" (Micah 7;5) "I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God shall hear me" (Micah 7:7)
May 3, 2016 - "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." "For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." (Galatians 6:7-8)
April 26, 2016 - Jeremiah tells of a man who is blessed by the Lord as he walks in the way of the Lord, he trusts the Lord and keeps His will.
(Jeremiah 17:7-8) NKJV "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope in the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out it's roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but it's leaf will be green, and it will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit."
April 14, 2016 - And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying; "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matt 28:18 -20) NKJV
April 7, 2016 - "Truly, these times of ignorance, God overlooked, but now commands all men, everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead." (Acts 17:30-31) NKJV
April 4, 2016 - "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Matt. 7:12) NKJV
We know these words as the "Golden Rule" which we usually say as; "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". They are not only words to live by, they are a part of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, the famous sermon preached there to His disciples.
April 1, 2016 - The entire chapter of the 96th Psalm is one song of praise to the Lord and His glory. It calls on all believers to sing His praises. It doesn't say so, but I believe it is a song of the Sabbath Day, the day each week when believers gather together and sing His praises in unison.
