Piney Woods Photographic Society Upcoming Meeting

March 12, 2019 - The upcoming monthly meeting of the Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) is this Saturday March 16, 2019 and is held at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Porter St., Center, TX., from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The March Challenge will consist of photographs submitted by members featuring "Landscapes/Leading Lines". There will also be a workshop on photographing "Textures and Patterns".

Piney Woods Photographic Society February Challenge Results

February 18, 2019 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting Saturday and with a large group in attendance there was much discussion and participation in the February Challenge "Still Life."

All the entries were unique and outstanding in their own rights. Our members did an excellent job with their entries. Everyone was a winner by stepping out of their comfort zone in photography. The top three selections are :

February 14, 2019 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, February 16, 2019, 9am to 12 noon at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street, Center, Texas. 

There will be a workshop on "Using Leading Lines in your Photography," The monthly Club challenge will feature “Still Life” Photography submitted by members for critique and voting. 

Piney Wood's Photographic Society Announces January Challenge Winners

January 22, 2019 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held it’s first 2019 meeting this past Saturday. The workshop featured a presentation on Flash Photography and the monthly challenge was “Open” or it might could be classified as Photographer’s Choice, with pictures submitted by club members for voting and critique.

The next meeting will be the 3rd Saturday in February, with a workshop on Leading Lines and the challenge will feature pictures submitted by club members on “Still Life.” 

Piney Woods Photographic Society January Meeting

January 16, 2019 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will be holding their first monthly meeting of the new year this Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church,211 Porter Street, Center,Tx. 9:00 am -12:00. If you are someone interested in photography as a fun hobby, or more serious photographer, we encourage you to visit our club meetings. Memberships are available. Piney Woods Photographic Society Announces November Challenge Winners

November 26, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Center, Tx. The monthly challenge "Seasons"showed some awesome photography done by members; along with a workshop on "Photographing Family Holidays" presented by Billie Jones. The next meeting will be the third Saturday in December, at the First United Methodist Church, on Porter St. in Center, Tx. from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.

November 14, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society would like to invite anyone with an interest in photography to attend their meeting, Saturday, November 17, 2018 starting at 9 a.m.-12 p m. at the First United Methodist Church at 211 Porter St,. Center, Tx.

Piney Woods Photographic Society October Challenge Winners

October 21, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, October 20th. There was a great attendance and participation from members in the monthly challenge featuring "Wildlife".

There also was a very interesting workshop, including videos and discussions on "Landscape Composition" or how to get the best aesthetically pleasing shot.
