February 19, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, February 17, 2018, There was a great workshop/class held on "Effective Pet Photography" in preparation for the next meeting to be held in March.

This month’s challenge is “Glass “ featuring photos about glass. The workshop will be Effective Pet Photography. Everyone interested in taking better photos of the family pet or wanting to learn more about how to take better pictures or how to better operate your camera should attend.
January 24, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their first monthly meeting of 2018 this past Saturday. The monthly challenge featured "Open" photography, where club members submitted photos of their choice for judging and critique. The winners are as follows:

Being held at First United Methodist Church on Porter Street in Center, Tx from 9 a m - 12pm. The workshop will feature “Photoshop Tips and Tricks" and the photo challenge will be "Morning ". October 7, 2017 - This year’s photography show was a huge success! All the entries were exceptional and the judges certainly had a tough group of photos to work with. Thanks to all the competitors and volunteers for their interest and hard work.
A very special thanks to Dr. Charles R. Collard and his staff, for their support and help in converting the optical clinic to a photo gallery and the members of the Piney Woods Photographic Society for helping to host the exhibit and greet all those who attended.
September 12, 2017 - The PWPS will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, September 16th. It will be held at First United Methodist Church on Porter Street in Center, Tx from 9am - 12pm.
The workshop will feature "Using Flash" and the photo challenge will be "Shiny." This should be an interesting meeting everyone is invited to attend and participate. Also Billie Jones will be accepting the photo entries for the East Texas poultry Festival photography contest during that time.
August 14, 2017 - The PWPS will be holding our regular monthly meeting this Saturday 8/19/17 from 9 am to 12 pm at the Methodist church on Porter St. in Center. Hey all, This next meeting will be jam packed!
Our challenge theme is low angle. And we are gonna try to do 2 workshops - print mounting (since we have fall shows coming up) and off camera flash. Lots to do in 3 hours so don't be late! Look forward to seeing everybody. And if you have friends, invite them.
