“Chips, The War Dog” by Neal Murphy

August 8, 2025 - Shortly after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, the “Dogs For Defense” program was established by the federal government. A few dogs were utilized in World War One and were amazingly efficient soldiers, including Sgt. Stubby who was the most decorated war dog in history. The government decided to put out the word to civilian dog owners that the military was looking for a few good dogs.

"Chickens, Eggs, and Other Nonsense" by Neal Murphy

July 28, 2025 - The lowly chicken has provoked a number of interesting questions in the past, such as: Why did the chicken cross the road, and which came first – the chicken or the egg? I have decided that the real reason that the chicken crossed the road was because she wanted to get to the other side. Others have stated that she crossed the road to prove to armadillos that it COULD be done.

“Button It Up” by Neal Murphy

February 12, 2025 - The lowly button has been around for centuries. In modern clothing and fashion design, a button is a small fastener, now most commonly made of plastic. They are found on most all types of clothing from dresses, shirts, blue jeans, and even suits.

Buttons made of seashell have been found that date back to around 2000 BC. Some buttons, used more as an ornament than as a fastening device, have been found which dated back about 5,000 years.

I have discovered that the reason is that men just don’t feel they are lost.
