Choice Water System Rescinds Boil Water Notice

February 25, 2021 - On February 22, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Choice public water system, 2100005 to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Five Way Public Water System Rescinds Boil Water Notice

February 25, 2021 - On February 17, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Five Way  public water system, 2100008 to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Paxton/Jackson Water Systems Rescinds Boil Water Notice

February 24, 2021 - On February 22, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Paxton/Jackson public water system, 2100031 and 2100012 to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

DETCOG Accepting Pre-Applications for Rental Assistance Waiting List Lottery

February 23, 2021 - The Deep East Texas Regional Housing Authority (DETCOG) will open its waiting list lottery for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and begin accepting pre-applications on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. CT through Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Pre-applications will be accepted online at https://www.waitlistcheck.com/TX2875 and will NOT be accepted at the Housing Authority's office, nor by fax or mail.

DETEC Status Update as of 9am: Shelby Co. Has 1,713 Current Outages

February 23, 2021 - DETEC is currently reporting 2,233 outages remaining. All are expected to be restored by Friday. Please keep in mind that these are estimates, ideally we hope to complete this worker sooner. We thank you for your patience and support as crews have worked as quickly as possible.
