The tradition started about 1840, but was connected to an ancient ceremony brought to America by German immigrants. January 31, 2025 - An unspeakable tragedy unfolded in our nation’s capital this week after a mid-air collision between an Army Blackhawk helicopter and American Airlines flight 5342 in what may be one of the worst air disasters in decades. Diggs on January 21, 2025.

January 29, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, January 29.

I John 5:14 is one of my favorite scripture verses on the subject of prayer. You’ve heard it before - “This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” That’s from my favorite translation - the New International Version (NIV). But listen to how it sounds in the New Living Translation - “And we are confident that He hears us, whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him.” Anything that pleases Him!

Boo’s Battle Support Fund Provides Assistance to Those Battling Cancer

January 28, 2025 - Boo’s Battle Support Fund (BBSF) is a non-profit organization established in honor of Brandi “Boo” Mills after she sadly lost her battle to cancer on June 27, 2017. BBSF provides financial assistance to local families while they, or a loved one, are battling cancer. Since October of 2017 BBSF has helped many families and individuals in the Shelby County and Desoto Parish areas.
