June 15, 2016 – Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Lance Jacobs, announced that county committee election nominations began on June 15, 2016. Farmers, ranchers and landowners are encouraged to nominate candidates to serve on their local FSA county committee by the August 1, 2016 deadline.  

June 13, 2016 LUFKIN – With summer sunshine allowing the Lufkin District to work on many construction and maintenance projects, motorists are urged to watch for crews working alongside the roadways and be prepared to reduce speed through construction zones.

Many times construction or maintenance work requires a lane to be closed and drivers should remain alert to flaggers, work convoys and lighted signs warning of work ahead.
