Meet Dondi Tipton Candidate for Commissioner Pct. 4 at Frontier Cafe (Pd. Adv.)

February 7, 2022 - Precinct 4 Commissioner candidate Dondi Tipton invites the voters of Precinct 4 to a meeting on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Frontier Cafe in Timpson, located at 101 Austin Street between 11am and 1pm. 

I have lived in Timpson all my life, graduated from Timpson High School and I've raised my kids here.

Estimated $13 Million in Funding Available for the Texas Clean School Bus Program

TCEQ is now accepting applications for the Texas Clean School Bus (TCSB) Program. Total funding based on projected allocations. 

February 7, 2022 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is now accepting applications for the Texas Clean School Bus (TCSB) Program. An estimated $13 million in grant funding is available to replace or retrofit school buses to help reduce children’s exposure to diesel exhaust in and around diesel-fueled school buses.

Notice to CISD Staff, Families Before Returning to School on Thursday

Attention Center ISD Staff and Families:

January 17, 2022 - Due to a large number of scheduled Covid tests, Center ISD will not be offering walk-in Covid testing on Thursday, January 20. If any staff or student is experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, please stay off campus on Thursday and walk in testing will resume on Friday morning, January 21 at 8am.

Denning Rural Water System Issues Boil Water Notice

Effective January 3, 2022 Until Further Notice

January 3, 2022 - Due to electrical issues, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required the Denning Rural Water System PWS # 2030004 to notify ALL customers to boil their water prior to consumption (eg., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.

San Augustine Rural Water System Rescinds Boil Water Notice

November 22, 2021 - The water on San Augustine Rural WSC no longer requires boiling.

On November 16, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the San Augustine Rural Public Water System, #2030007, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
