May 24, 2020 - TxDSHS reports the same cases of COVID-19 in Shelby County as yesterday for a cumulative of 183 cases and 6 deaths from the virus. According to DSHS, 54 of the 183 cases are active cases.

May 22, 2020 - TxDSHS reports 3 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Shelby County for a cumulative of 183 cases and 5 deaths from the virus. According to DSHS, 55 of the 183 cases are active cases.

May 20, 2020 - TxDSHS reports 2 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Shelby County for a cumulative of 177 cases and 5 deaths from the virus. According to DSHS, 60 of the 177 cases are active cases.

May 7, 2020 - Joaquin High School introduces the graduating class of 2020 and its valedictorian and salutatorian.

It is with great pleasure that Joaquin High School announces this year’s Valedictorian, Elizabeth Araiza. Elizabeth is the daughter of Jose Angel Araiza and Victoria Araiza.
