May 19, 2015 - Altobeli Caporali and Kylee Windham, seniors at Shelbyville High School, are recipients of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Area Go Texan Scholarship this year. Each received $18,000 to be used their first year at the Texas college or university of their choice.
May 18, 2015 - Shelbyville Track and Field made a strong showing at the UIL State Track and Field Event hosted at Mike Myers Stadium at the University of Texas in Austin this weekend.
May 6, 2015 - The Best of Texas is an online practice contest for Texas high school students. The contest consists of twelve subjects—Accounting, Biology, Calculator, Chemistry, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Current Issues & Events, Literary Criticism, Number Sense, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Spelling & Vocabulary. The contest consists of three rounds of tests in each subject.

April 27, 2015 - All first graders at Shelbyville School recently received free prevent tooth decay kits through the Fantastic Teeth Fan Club. Members of Sam Houston Masonic Lodge, led by Jack Bradberry, assembled and delivered kits to the school.
The Fantastic Teeth Fan Club project focuses on preventing suffering from toothaches, reducing missed school days due to dental problems, and cutting costs for dental treatment.
