March 30, 2015 - Shelbyville High School competed in the District 22-2A Academic UIL Spring Meet held at SFA on March 26, 2015. Shelbyville competitors are District Champions and qualified thirty students in twenty-one events for the Regional Meet. Kylee Windham received the plaque for District 22AA High Point Individual by scoring an impressive seventy-five individual points when she placed first in Ready Writing, Feature Writing, News Writing, Headline Writing and Editorial Writing.
March 24, 2015 - The State Debate meet was held in Austin, Texas on March 15-16. Shelbyville High School Senior Savannah Talbert and Freshman Ty Fox are State Medalists. Talbert won Bronze Gavel Speaker in Class 2A.
March 23, 2015 - Shelbyville Junior Jeron "J.J." Boykins, was selected as an All-Region performer for Class 2A, Region III by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. J.J., the unanimous 22-2A Most Valuable Player, avergaged 18.0 points per game and led the Dragons to their first district title in 26 years.
March 13, 2015 - High school students in Shelbyville ISD will compete for top honors during the 2015 District 21A UIL Academic Spring Meet to be held on March 26st at SFA. The UIL Academic District Meets bring students together to compete in over 22 college level academic contests that cover every aspect of classroom curriculum. These students meet rigorous scholastic requirements in order to voluntarily compete in UIL academics.
March 9, 2015 - The Shelbyville High School Boys Powerlifters place at Regional Meet held in Elkhart, TX. Kal Metcalf won 1st place, Octavian Burrell took 2nd place, and Corey Bearden placed 4th. Kal Metcalf and Octavian Burrell qualified for the State Meet that will be held in Abilene, TX. Congratulations Dragons! The team is coached by Coach Michael Bill Taylor.
March 9, 2015 - The Shelbyville Girls powerlifting team finished 2nd overall at the Regional Meet held in White Oak. State qualifiers are Cleosha Jeter, Hannah Hall, Savannah Talbert, Tristin Wilburn, Kennedey Parker, Harlie Hagler and Katie Casey.
March 5, 2015 - Shelbyville Little Dribblers 5th-6th Grade Champion team. March 3, 2015 - Shelbyville HS Girls Basketball team had a very successful season. They were second place in District with a 6-4 record and had an overall record o 21-11. They won their Bi District game by defeating Overton. They went on to win the Area game by defeating Broaddus. The next round was Regional Quarter-Finals. They beat Cushing, advancing to Regional Tournament for the first time since 1992. The team is lead by Head Coach Stephany Carter and Asst. Coach Patrick Sluga.
