What's New at the Library

June 26, 2017 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library's next Summer Reading event for the younger group (ages 4-8) will be a program by local beekeepers, Mike and Linda Bordelon. They will be bringing an observation hive which should be very interesting. This program will be Thursday, June 29th, at 10:30 a.m.

The Tweens (ages 9-13) will have their last LEGO group at 2:00 p.m., June 29th, with the theme being STAR WARS.

Don't forget those reading logs! If your child has not gotten one from the library, we still have some available. Our Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Center Noon Lions Club.

June 15, 2017 - Week two of the Center Library Summer Reading program got off to a 'rockin' start with Sara Ward, "The Story Lady" on Thursday, June 15th. The Story Lady had the little readers jamming with their air guitars while taking them on an adventure with music inspired story time. The Tweens will meet at 2pm to enjoy another week of Lego creation. The theme for week two of the Tween program is transportation.

June 14, 2017 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library will have a writing class on Tuesday, June 14th, at 2:30 p.m. Local author, Terri Lacher, will be giving tips and ideas on how to make your thoughts and ideas come to life.

Our next summer reading event will be Thursday morning, June 15th at 10:30.  Sara Ward - the Story Lady, will be our performer for the younger children. Then at 2:00 p.m., the Tweens will have another LEGO group.  Reading logs are still available.  Our summer program is sponsored by the Center Noon Lions Club.

We are very thankful to the City workers, Gary Helton, SWEPCO, and AT&T for their work getting us back up and running again.

Also, we appreciate the patience of all our patrons during this time when we had to be closed.
