Piney Woods Photographic Society February Photo Challenge

February 18, 2026 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will hold its monthly meeting this Saturday, February 21, from 9am to 12 noon at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora Street, Center, Texas.

The monthly photo challenge is "The Clouds." Club members are invited to submit their cloud photos for discussion and for the "Favorite Photo of the Month" vote.

We welcome photographers of all skill levels. Whether you have an interest in photography or specific questions about your camera, please join us.

Piney Woods Photographic Society First Meeting of 2026

January 13, 2026 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their first meeting of 2026 this Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street, Center, Texas from 9am-12 noon. The January challenge is "Photographer's Choice." Each member may submit up to 3 of their own photographs, using any genre or technique of their choosing, for discussion and voting. Visitors are always welcome to attend.

Piney Woods Photographic Society to Meet This Saturday

August 13, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will hold their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, August 16, 2025, starting at 9am, in Center, Texas at the First Methodist Church, 211 Porter Street. There will be a monthly challenge where members will submit up to 3 of their photos of still life minimalism photography, using created or found still life subjects. Night Photography will be the workshop presented. If you have an interest in photography, feel free to attend any of our meetings.

Piney Woods Photographic Society "Show Me Your Patriotism" Challenge Winners

July 22, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Center, Tx. at the First Methodist Church.

The July Challenge was "Show Me Your Patriotism" where club members may submit up to 3 of their pictures that represent Patriotism, a reminder for everyone what it means to be an American.

Piney Woods Photographic Society June Challenge Winners

June 25, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday. The June Challenge was Food Photography, where each member submitted up to three of their photos to the challenge for favorite votes and discussion on each one. There was a three way tie for club favorite. They were Julie Cantrell-Green "Onions", Starla Fischer, "Elk Surprise" and Debra Cockrell, "Salad."
