Be on your guard today! There are people that look forward to the 1st of April like the rest of us look forward to Christmas. They're out there. They're lurking.  They're waiting for that moment to jump out and yell "APRIL FOOLS!!!"

In honor of this day that honors all sorts of silliness, I give you some silly Bulletin Bloopers. These are actual notices that ran in actual church newsletters. Sometimes you just gotta laugh!

Nigerian “Prince” Sentenced for Federal Fraud Violations

March 31, 2022 – A Nigerian man has been sentenced to federal prison for federal fraud violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston today.

Sobanke Idris Sunday Adereti, 24, pleaded guilty on Oct. 25, 2021, to passport fraud and attempted bank fraud, and was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Jeremy D. Kernodle.

March 31, 2022 - Good Morning! It’s Thursday, March 31.

On this day in 1994, basketball superstar Michael Jordan signed a contract with a new team - the Birmingham Barons minor league BASEBALL team! In a move that shocked the sports world, Jordan retired from the Chicago Bulls at the peak of his basketball career. He had made 9 straight all-star teams, had won 7 straight scoring titles, and was coming off his third straight championship. He gave it all up to play baseball. Go figure!

March 30, 2022 - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized a second booster dose of either the Pfizer or the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for individuals 50 years and older and certain immunocompromised individuals.
