City of Tenaha Rescinds Boil Water Notice

September 24, 2025 - On September 22, 2025 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Tenaha public water system, PWS # 2100002, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Dehart Veterinary Services Low Cost Spay/Neuter, Pet Wellness Clinic (Pd adv)

September 23, 2025 - A Low Cost Spay/Neuter and Pet Wellness Clinic is held in Center every second Friday of the month and every fourth Saturday from 10-3p. The next clinics in Center will take place Saturday, September 27 and Friday October 10 at Goodwill Shopping Center in Center, Texas located at 1155 Tenaha Street. We offer dog/cat vaccines, heartworm tests/prevention, flea/tick prevention, microchips, and nail trims.

Public Boil Water Notice for N.E.W. Water Supply System (UPDATE)

September 19, 2025 - (UPDATE) The water on N.E.W. WSC no longer requires boiling as of September 19, 2025.

On September 15, 2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the N.E.W. Water Supply, #2030034, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Governor Abbott, THECB Announce Free College Application Week

September 12, 2025 — Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) announced Free College Application Week October 13-19, 2025

City of Joaquin, Shelby County, Texas Request for Proposals (Pd Adv)

September 8, 2025 - The City of Joaquin of Shelby County, Texas plans to apply for Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding from the Texas General Land Office (GLO) related to the 2024 Disasters included the Texas Severe Storms, Straight-line Winds, Tornadoes, and Flooding (DR-4781) and Hurricane Beryl (DR-4798) and is soliciting proposals to provide application, administration and/or planning services for CDBG-DR contract(s), if awarded.
