On this day in 1743, Handel’s Messiah was about to be premiered at the Royal Opera House in London. The whole city was talking about this new work, and such a huge crowd was expected that night, that ladies were urged to leave their hoops (from their hoop skirts) at home.

Tonight at First Baptist Center we'll be preparing our Children's Choir and our Adult Choir to sing and sign a special song for Easter. The song is a joyous expression of testimony and praise by Phil Wickham called "Living Hope". We're looking forward to that great moment of worship on that great day.
That great day, Easter Sunday, is just 17 days away. So, it's not too early to begin preparing our hearts and minds to celebrate the resurrection. Here's some Easter quotes to get you started.

Happy first day of spring! Welcome to the Vernal Equinox. Equinox is Latin for "equal night". On this day in March and on the Autumnal Equinox in September, the period of light and darkness is approximately equal. This happens each year in the Northern Hemisphere.
